Get The Complete Guide

I've been there more times than I'd like to admit, standing on the bank with a group of friends, quietly dreading the moment everyone reels in fish after fish while my line sits dead in the water. The worst part isn't even the empty cooler, it's that one guy next to you who can't resist pointing out everything you're doing wrong, like you're some kid who just picked up a rod for the first time.

Everything changes the moment you learn to read the water and spot exactly where fish are holding. You stop casting blind and hoping. You know precisely why you chose that spot, and it doesn't take long before you're the one pointing out the honey holes everyone else walked straight past, the guy people start asking for advice instead of the guy people quietly correct.

That knowledge means even more on family camping trips. Picture showing your son exactly why fish hold near a fallen tree, behind a boulder, or along the weed line, then watching him reel one in himself because of what you taught him. That look on his face, pure pride, like you just handed him a secret only real fishermen know, is worth more than any fish you could ever catch yourself.

If you love exploring, camping, or outdoor survival, knowing how to read water gives you a real-world edge most people never get: walk up to any body of water you've never seen before and know exactly where to start, no guesswork, no waiting around. FIND THE FISH won't promise a bite on every single cast, nobody honest can, but it will hand you the skill to fish with real confidence, read any water like you've fished it for years, and finally be the one everyone else wants standing next to them.

About The Me

I Was Taught to Find Fish Before I Was Taught to Cast

Fishing has been part of my family for generations. My grandfather and my father both made their living on the water, so I grew up watching how they found fish, read changing conditions, and understood where fish were likely to hold.

Long before I thought of fishing as a passion, I was already learning that finding fish has much less to do with luck than most people think.

Fishing story from Pininca

My father taught me to look past the surface. Instead of simply seeing water, I learned to notice current breaks, depth changes, shade, rocks, fallen trees, shoreline structure, and the small clues that often tell you where fish are holding. Once you begin seeing those patterns, you stop casting everywhere and start choosing spots for a reason.

That is why I created FIND THE FISH. I wanted to take the knowledge I grew up with, combine it with what I’ve learned on the water, and turn it into a practical visual guide that helps you look at a new fishing spot and know where to start.
