Pininca

A Journey of Passion and Sharing Fishing Knowledge

Among anglers, I’m known as Pininca, a fishing enthusiast who has followed this path since childhood, when I would run alongside my father to the riverbank before dawn. I was born into a family with three generations in the fishing trade. To me, a fishing rod is more than a tool; it is part of a heritage passed down through each generation. This website is where I document and share what I have learned and experienced, so anyone with the same passion can find something useful for their own journey.

Where My Passion Began and My Journey Into Lure Fishing

Before I even knew how to hold a rod properly, I could read a stretch of river just by watching the current. My grandfather taught me that. Then my father continued teaching me what he had learned from his own father. Every rocky bank, every bend in the river, and every calm pocket of water carried a story. I grew up with those stories long before I fully understood what they meant.

Fishing is not a trade that lets anyone become skilled overnight. There were plenty of days when I went home empty-handed, sitting on the bank and asking myself what I had gotten wrong. Those failures taught me how to watch the water, recognize when fish are moving, and understand that becoming a good angler is not about luck.

It is about patiently noticing the smallest details. The more places I visited, from the rivers near my hometown to unfamiliar waters around the world, the more I realized one thing: knowledge only has real value when it has been tested on actual trips.

What I Want to Share Through My Books

My family’s traditional fishing trade has gradually faded over time. My grandfather passed his knowledge to my father, and my father passed it on to me. But I know that if no one records these valuable lessons, they will eventually disappear with time. I do not want that to happen.

That is why I decided to sit down and write out every lesson, technique, and story I have collected through years of holding a rod. I want them to have a place that lasts longer than one person’s memory.

Many new anglers struggle to know where to begin or which source to trust among the overwhelming amount of information online. My books do not promise to turn anyone into an expert overnight. Instead, they provide practical foundations:

  • how to read the water
  • choose the right time
  • match the right lure to each type of water

and, most importantly, develop the mindset of a patient, persistent angler. These are the things I wish I had learned earlier, now gathered in one place to help other anglers shorten the long process of figuring everything out on their own.

The Values I Want to Share With the Community

To me, fishing is not only about how many fish you catch. It is also about how you treat the nature that has made this passion possible. I support the spirit of catch and release in waters that need protection, helping preserve fish populations for future generations.

I also believe in fishing safely, respecting local regulations, and showing respect to the people who share the same water. These are the values I hope to pass on, not only through my books, but through every piece of content on this website.

What You’ll Find on This Website

This is where I share techniques tested through real experience, from reading water and choosing the right moment to handling the situation once a fish strikes. No empty theory; every article comes from something I have personally experienced.

I test and honestly review rods, lines, and lures that I have used myself, helping you choose gear that fits your fishing conditions without wasting time and money on trial and error.

Everything I have learned from three generations of anglers is gathered into my guidebooks. This is where you can find them, purchase them, and begin learning in a more structured way.

I am always happy to hear your fishing stories and answer questions along the way. Follow and connect with me through Pininca’s social media channels, or leave a message right here on the website.
